Residential Site Investigation

When you building a new home or upgrading an existing home, let our experienced geotechnical team provide you with right ground information. Our geotechnical engineers will deliver geotechnical reports to address Council Development Application (DA) conditions and provide builders and structural engineers with the right information for foundation design.

Our Geotechnical Investigation reports include but not limited to the following:

  • Desktop study of the geological and geotechnical conditions of the site;

  • Geotechnical Field Investigation;

  • Identify potential geotechnical constraints for assessment and planning;

  • Geotechnical Design of foundations, pavement, retaining walls etc;

  • Slope Stability Analysis/Risk Assessment;

  • Ground Improvement advice;

  • Excavation conditions (i.e. excavatability, stability etc.) at the proposed

     development site, and;

  • Foundation conditions including site / lot classification in accordance

     with AS2870.

The geotechnical report may also include  the following information, collated

from publicly available sources:

  • Geological maps and notes;

  • Soil landscape maps and notes;

  • Acid Sulfate Soils;

  • Dry Land Salinity Potential;

  • Aerial imagery (i.e. SixMaps, Google Earth);

We help our clients understand the existing ground conditions and identify any geotechnical hazards to prevent cost overruns, delays and disputes.  Reliability of the information contained in geotechnical report has a strong influence on design, construction, project cost, safety and resolution of contractual disputes and hence the report must be clear, concise and accurate.
