Mobile Cranes and Piling rigs have been known to fall over or be subject to near misses in the past due to inadequately prepared or maintained site surfaces – all such incidents involve potential fatalities or serious injuries to operatives and extensive damage to equipment. To avoid these incidents, it is necessary to construct a safe, stable and economically accepted piling platform.

This analysis usually required when a mobile crane or a piling rig is established within a public area or construction site. A report is prepared using available field data, field inspection, onsite testing and laboratory testing of the samples collected from the site.

 

The purpose of this report is to assess the existing ground conditions and provide a safe working area. Depending on the field assessment outcome a working platform design may be required.
